![]() ![]() This is very frustrating and very unprofessional. I called the next day around 9am and for another 1hr : 30min no representative was able to answer my call. I’ve been calling the customer service line for over 2 hrs and no one responded even while they told me that my wait time was 40min. I called Ezpass NY and they picked up within 5min and told me that they can’t see the violation from their end and that I should call Ezpass NJ. A toll worth $1.25 would be $51.25 and the other worth $2 would be $52. Only for me to receive a violation via mail and an admin fee of $50 each. I called customer service NY right away and they told me nothing was wrong with my Ezpass and my account was in good shape, the representative told me that it happens sometimes and that I shouldn’t worry about it. I had my Ezpass and I had enough money in it, I went to NJ from NY and on passing the toll, it reads call customer service. Pretty good scam and fully backed by the massively corrupt NJ government. I was a victim, I paid my toll which went directly into the collectors pocket, they don’t register my toll as paid so I get a “violation”. Incidentally when researching this specific toll plaza I discovered a news article which mentioned that at least one of their toll collectors had stolen $15,000 in tolls. This EzPass organization is run by criminals that are robbing the public. They claim they didn’t receive the dispute for, yet a few minutes later claimed they couldn’t read it on their screen, and their image of my car was blurred? So they suggested they would waive the $30 fee if I paid the $3 toll which I already paid. So like an idiot I called only to be talked down to by one of their smart mouth employees talking to me like I was garbage. I paid cash as always, on their website I found a photo of my car which clearly displays my car stopped my window open, and my hand out the window as I paid.Īfter trying to dispute their claim by mailing the dispute form, I received a final notice. ![]() Here’s the problem I have never owned, used or possessed an EzPass device and never will. I received an EzPass violation notice twice from the same toll plaza on the Delaware river crossing on I-78. If it was a private company the executives would be indicted for mail fraud wire fraud and corruption for extorting money from motorists that is not due. NJ EZ pass is a corrupt organization (based on my personal experience) and should be investigated. Apparently that is how NJ tries to strong arm payments that ate NOT due from unsuspecting motorists who think they may have a registration revoked (it’s not possible ). I paid the 1.50 toll with a credit card, and made it clear if she tried to ding me the 50 I would dispute the charge and suggest that the local us attorney investigate their practices. I finally had the last clerk on the phone admit that “their new system was having problems “. I replied as requested online, on the phone, and using their automated system 11 times. I received a violation notice (despite meeting all the criteria for NOT being a violation) demanding 1.50 toll and $50 administration fee. To avoid issues, that plate was added to the account 15 minutes later. The garden state parkway toll in wash twps said “tag not read”. I put a tag in my newly obtained vehicle with out of state plates while it was here for a month. My account has always been in good standing, automatic credit card reimbursement, etc. My personal experience (I have ny account take was issued before nj had the ezpass ). ![]()
